DEATH of the FAMILY

Well, I'm in the thick of it--31 pages of main story in Batman #17. This is wild stuff and a lot of fun (and work) to draw. Issue 17 is also the conclusion of the DOTF storyline. I hope you're all following along and have new bulbs at the ready for you night lights!

I love the story that Snyder has put together, but your artwork is really what makes it amazing. I can't imagine how DOTF would be without your incredible work, and I am so excited to see the conclusion :D

You and Scott might get a kick out of this: the creative writing class at nearby Duke University have been talking about you guys' work with the Death in the Family story arc as both a research subject and an example of exemplary writing. :) Just in time for the recent 3rd printing of #13!

I've been loving your work in DOTF - these images of Joker will scar my mind for years to come. xD

Would love to see this story bring major changes. Kill off Commissioner Gordon. Have Bruce severly injured, in a coma. Damian quits being Robin and joins Red Hood's Outlaws. Dick becomes Batman again, with a new Robin, Stephanie Brown. Batwoman (Kate) dies, but comes back as a vampire. She becomes the new Nightwing, partnered with her niece, Flamebird. Babs becomes the new Batwoman, partnered with a new Batgirl, Cassandra Cain. Bruce wakes up from the coma, but has lost the use of his legs. He becomes the new Commissioner. He'd now lead the Batfamily in an "Oracle" type role, but I probably wouldn't actually call him that.
